DM74 Intro to Digital Video

Course Description:
A hands-on course in which students are introduced to digital video. Students will capture, create, and edit video files for media productions and various delivery formats.
Course Learning Outcomes:
1. Analyze and choose best video editing software for capturing, mixing, and editing video.
2. Demonstrate understanding of basic video terminology and technical fundamentals.
3. Develop video clips using source video, static images, titles/credits, and audio
4. Encode video for defined delivery formats.
5. Determine quality and quantity of video output for intended audience and purpose.
