DM73 Intro to Digital Audio

Course Description:
A hands-on course in which students are introduced to digital audio. Students will capture, create, and edit sound files for media productions and various delivery formats.
Course Learning Outcomes:
1. Analyze and select best audio editing software to capture, mix, and edit audio for use in media productions.
2. Demonstrate understanding of basic digital audio terminology and technical fundamentals.
3. Develop audio compositions using sound effects, voice, and music.
4. Encode audio for defined delivery formats.
5. Determine quality and quantity of audio output for intended audience and purpose.
