Course Description:
An introduction to the basic techniques of digital video production providing hands-on instruction in digital video and non-linear editing. Beginning with the basics of digital camera operation, shooting techniques, audio, and lighting, students will have an opportunity to practice the production process from live shoot to final edit.
Course Learning Outcomes:
1. Engage in visual storytelling.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in basic digital video camera operation.
3. Distinguish between effective and ineffective audio and lighting strategies.
4. Analyze shooting techniques for creativity, originality, and visual quality.
